Into the Round of 32 for our Parisians

After a group stage full of twists and turns, which saw the Parisians shine in large numbers, it is now time for the Round of 32. A closer look at what awaits the Red and Blues who are still in contention!

The fixtures for the Round of 32 are now known, and Canada will kick things off on Sunday 28 June, against South Africa at 21:00. The first Parisian player to take the stage will be Marquinhos, the Paris Saint-Germain captain, who will face Japan on Monday at 19:00 at the NRG Stadium in Houston.

His group-stage opponent Achraf Hakimi will follow later on Monday night at 03:00, against the Netherlands, at the Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, Mexico. Next up are Les Bleus on Tuesday evening at 23:00, against Sweden, while Désiré Doué has joined the list of Parisian players who have scored at this World Cup, following Dembélé’s hat-trick. The match will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Having qualified thanks to a victory over Germany on the final matchday, Ecuador, featuring Willian Pacho, will face one of the host nations, Mexico, in Mexico City, in the early hours of Wednesday morning at 03:00. On Wednesday evening at 22:00, Ibrahim Mbaye’s Senegal will take on Belgium on the West Coast at Lumen Field in Seattle, before Fabian Ruiz and Spain face Austria on Thursday 2 July, at 21:00 at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Finally, our Portuguese players will bring the Round of 32 to a close with a clash against Croatia in the early hours of Friday morning at 01:00, at BMO Field in Toronto.
