Born in Quinindé, Ecuador, on 16 October 2001, Willian Pacho began his career at Independiente del Valle. During his time at the club, he won the Copa Sudamericana and the Copa Libertadores U20 in 2019, before lifting the Ecuadorian league title in 2021.
A revelation in the Ecuadorian league, the Ecuador international was spotted by Royal Antwerp FC and moved to Belgium in January 2022. He quickly established himself and helped the club achieve a historic league and cup double. A year and a half after arriving in Europe, Willian Pacho continued his development by discovering the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt. In his first and only season, he became one of the league’s stand-out players and took another step forward by joining Paris Saint-Germain in summer 2024.
Since, the left-footer has continued to go from strength to strength. A key player for Paris Saint-Germain and Ecuador, with whom he reached the Copa América quarter-finals and the World Cup Round of 16, he has built one of the finest trophy hauls possible, including two Champions League titles, an Intercontinental Cup, a UEFA Super Cup and numerous domestic honours.
