Biography

Born in Angers, Désiré Doué completed his entire youth development at Stade Rennais, making his professional debut there in August 2022. An elusive and versatile attacking player, he showcased his talent in Ligue 1 during his first two seasons at the highest level. Courted by Europe’s biggest clubs, he chose to join Paris Saint-Germain in August 2024, taking a little time to adapt before fully revealing his talent on the European stage.

Decisive throughout the capital club’s European campaign, Désiré produced an unforgettable Champions League final on 31 May 2025, scoring twice and providing an assist against Inter Milan (5-0). He was subsequently named Player of the Match and UEFA Young Player of the Season. A few months later, he won the 2025 Golden Boy award, confirming his status as one of football’s rising stars. On 30 May 2026, he started the final once again and won a second consecutive Champions League title against Arsenal (1-1 a.e.t., 4-3 pens.). For the second year running, he was named Ligue 1’s best young player by his fellow professionals.

With France, he won the European Under-17 Championship in 2022 and a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He made his senior France debut in March 2025 and played at the 2026 World Cup, scoring against Norway (4-1).
