At the age of four, Warren Zaïre-Emery started playing football in Aubervilliers in the Paris suburbs. The Montreuil-born midfielder was quickly spotted by Paris Saint-Germain and impressed with his precocious talent. Warren was consistently promoted to older age groups throughout his youth development.
At 15, the box-to-box midfielder was an undisputed starter for the U19s and even helped his team reach the UEFA Youth League round of 16 by making decisive contributions twice against Bruges (3-2). Those performances propelled him into the professional squad before he had even celebrated his 16th birthday.
In 2022, he won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship with France and was named player of the tournament. A few weeks later, he became the youngest player in the club’s history to play in an official match, coming on against Clermont at 16 years, 4 months and 29 days. He continued to break records for precocity in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, where he became the youngest player in Paris Saint-Germain history to start a knockout match, against Bayern Munich.
Since then, the France international has established himself as an essential part of Luis Enrique’s squad, contributing notably to the two Champions League triumphs and the numerous domestic titles won since his professional debut in summer 2022.
