France beaten by England despite goals from Barcola and Dembélé

A France side featuring Paris Saint-Germain's Lucas Hernandez, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué lost 6–4 to England in the 2026 FIFA World Cup third-place play-off at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, USA, yesterday.

While Zaïre-Emery and Doué were named in their side's starting line-up, Barcola and Dembélé came on at half time to score their third and sixth goals of the competition respectively but were unable to prevent Les Bleus’ defeat, meaning they finish the tournament in fourth place.
