Biography

Achraf Hakimi was born on 4 November 1998 in Madrid to Moroccan parents and joined the Real Madrid academy at the age of seven. He made his professional debut under Zinedine Zidane and won the UEFA Champions League with Los Merengues during the 2017-2018 season. An tireless, attack-minded right-back, he then joined Borussia Dortmund, where he truly burst onto the scene, before winning Serie A with Inter Milan, the Italian club’s first Scudetto in 11 years.

He signed for Paris Saint-Germain in July 2021, quickly becoming an indispensable member of the team thanks to his relentless running and collective contribution. He played a key role in the capital club’s first Champions League triumph, scoring in both the quarter-finals and semi-finals, before netting the opening goal in the final against his former club Inter Milan (5-0). On 30 May 2026, he won a second consecutive European title, further etching his name into the club’s history.

Part of the Morocco national team since 2016, he led his country to a historic semi-final at the 2022 World Cup, a first for an African nation. After reaching the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, he earned his 100th cap during the 2026 World Cup, where Morocco once again impressed by reaching the quarter-finals.
