Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the arrival of Mathieu Le Scornet as Technical Director of the youth and pre-youth academies.

A trainer renowned for the quality of his coaching, Mathieu Le Scornet spent 13 years at Stade Rennais, where he played a pivotal role in the club's youth and pre-youth academies. Starting out as an instructor for the youngest age categories, he went on to become head of the U15 section, with whom he won several regional titles. Thanks to the individualised support he has provided, he has helped several generations of young players take the key steps towards the highest level, notably having worked with Ousmane Dembélé and Desiré Doué.

In 2018, he joined Stade Rennais' senior-team set-up as assistant coach, where he helped them win the Coupe de France and qualify for the UEFA Europa League and Champions League.

He then moved to RC Strasbourg Alsace, where he continued as an assistant coach at the highest level for two seasons - while also undertaking an interim spell as head coach. He then took over as head coach of the reserve team (National 3) for the 2024-2025 season.

A graduate of the BEFF (Brevet d'Entraîneur Formateur de Football), the benchmark for technical supervision in a youth academy, Le Scornet recently obtained the BEPF (Brevet d'Entraîneur Professionnel de Football) awarded by the FFF, enabling him to coach at the highest professional level and provide expertise in post-training.

At Paris Saint-Germain, his main role will be to ensure that the technical policy and methodology adopted by the Club for the youth and pre-youth academies are properly applied, in order to ensure the optimum development of young players. Reporting directly to Yohan Cabaye, Sporting Director of the youth academy, he will be responsible for managing the entire youth academy technical staff and ensuring effective coordination with the various sports departments involved with the players.
