Nine Paris players included among the 30 Ballon d’Or nominees – an all-time record!
After a historic 2024–2025 campaign, nine of Paris Saint-Germain's players find themselves on the list of 30 nominees for the 2025 men's Ballon d'Or, with Ousmane Dembélé, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Désiré Doué, Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, João Neves, Fabián Ruiz and Vitinha set to represent the capital club at the award ceremony, which will take place on 22nd September at Paris's Théâtre du Chatelet.
Never has a club had so many of its players named among the finalists for the most prestigious individual award in world football.
Gianluigi Donnarumma in the running for his second Yashin Trophy
Having already taken home the Yashin Trophy in 2021, Gianluigi Donnarumma will be hoping to pick up the award given to the season's best goalkeeper once again this year. The Italy international made 47 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain in 2024–2025 and pulled off several vital saves at key moments along the way, most notably against Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League. A key player in the historic quadruple won by the Rouge & Bleu – Champions League, Ligue 1, French Cup, and Trophée des Champions – he confirms, at 26, his status as a benchmark in his position.
Désiré Doué and João Neves nominated for the Kopa Trophy
What a year it's been for Désiré Doué! The midfielder, who proved to be a true revelation for Paris Saint-Germain last season, has now been nominated for the Kopa Trophy, an award given to the season's best player under the age of 21. After joining the capital club last summer, the 20-year-old Frenchman ended the 2024–2025 campaign with 61 Paris appearances under his belt across all competitions, as well as 16 goals (including a brace in the Champions League final), 16 assists and the four trophies mentioned above. On top of being named as Ligue 1's Young Player of the Season and included in the league's Team of the Season at the Trophées UNFP, Doué also made his debut for France's senior team in March 2025, before being called up again by Didier Deschamps for the UEFA Nations League Finals.
Meanwhile, having also arrived in Paris a year ago, João Neves features among this category's 10 nominees for the second year in a row. The 20-year-old midfielder enjoyed an exceptional season with the capital club, during which he racked up a total of 59 appearances, seven goals (including a crucial one against Manchester City in the Champions League) and 10 assists. Following his thundering start to life with Les Rouge et Bleu, our no. 87 quickly established himself thanks to his poise on the ball, his vision and his impressive work rate. In addition to this, Neves became a senior Portugal international in a game against Bosnia in October 2023 and now boasts 16 caps for his country, including two in the UEFA Nations League Finals, which Portugal won in June this year.
Luis Enrique nominated for the Men's Coach of the Year award
As one of the candidates for the honour of Men's Coach of the Year at the 2025 Ballon d'Or ceremony, Luis Enrique is fresh from an outstanding 2024–2025 season in charge of Paris Saint-Germain's men's team. As well as winning the quadruple, the Spanish manager led Les Rouge et Bleu to a record-breaking run of 39 straight away games without defeat, which is the longest streak of its kind ever achieved in Europe's top five leagues, thereby beating AC Milan's 38-game unbeaten run on the road between 1991 and 1993. Enrique was also crowned as Ligue 1's Manager of the Season at the Trophées UNFP and, by guiding Paris Saint-Germain to its first-ever UCL title, has well and truly written his name in the club's history books.

Finally, Paris Saint-Germain has been nominated in the Men's Club of the Year category, a nomination that underlines the excellence and the collective strength of this squad, its coaching staff and everyone who supports Paris Saint-Germain on a daily basis. Not only was the team's exceptional 2024–2025 season marked by the aforementioned historic quadruple, but the capital club also shone by reaching the final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
