Discover the key facts and figures from Paris Saint-Germain's 4-0 victory over Inter Miami in the Round of 16 of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday 29 June 2025.

Les Rouge et Bleu unstoppable in front of goal

Against Inter Miami on Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain recorded their 46th win of the season (eight draws, eight defeats). Luis Enrique's men are thus one success away from equalling their record for a single season - 47 - set in 2015-2016. Many of the current campaign's 46 victories were achieved in style. Against the Floridians, the capital club scored four goals, taking their 2024/25 tally of matches with four or more goals scored to 15 across all competitions. In doing so, Les Rouge et Bleu equalled their highest such total in a calendar year since 2020.

Having already beaten Atlético Madrid by the same scoreline on the first day of the group phase of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup a few days ago, Paris did slightly better against Inter Miami on Sunday. For the third time in all competitions this season, Luis Enrique's men held a lead of at four or more goals at half-time. The Parisians have only done better once in their history - in the 2017/2018 season (four times).

A united front in the big matches...

Having beaten Inter Miami in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, Paris have reached the quarter-finals of an international competition for the 16th time in their history - that's at least four more times than any other French club.

Les Rouge et Bleu also won their fourth consecutive match at the finals of a major international competition. This success equalled the club's longest winning streak in this domain, dating back to their Cup Winners' Cup adventure from March to May 1996.

Game-changers all over the pitch

Once again, it was Luis Enrique's entire team that shone in the Round of 16 clash with Inter Miami. In midfield, João Neves scored the first double of his professional career. His Portuguese connection with Vitinha is working like a charm, with the latter having already delivered his compatriot an assist from a free-kick in the historic 4-2 win over Manchester City on 22 January.

Another crucial midfield player, Fabian Ruiz, provided his 11th assist of the season when he set up João Neves' second goal. This latest assist saw the Spain midfielder surpass his sum total of created goals across his first two seasons with Les Rouge et Bleu (three in 2022/2023, seven in 2023/2024).

Despite officially being a defender, Achraf Hakimi once again showed his attacking prowess. Now with 25 goals across all competitions this season, the Moroccan international has established himself as one of the most dangerous defenders in Europe in recent years. Since Hakimi joined the capital club, only Jeremie Frimpong of Liverpool has found the net more times than any other defender in Europe's five major leagues.
