Buoyed by their impressive 3-0 victory over Bayern Munich on the final matchday of the UEFA Youth League, Paris Saint-Germain's youth team enjoyed a second consecutive match at the Campus. Facing a flamboyant Tottenham side, one of the best attacking teams in the competition, it was a great opportunity to take a step towards qualifying for the round of 32, in front of the fans who turned out in large numbers to support them.
James, Boly (79' Coulibaly), Kamara, Lucea, Cordier (c) (87' Mbemba), Jangeal, Diyinu Nzinga, Abo El Nay, Ayari (73' Idder), Mounguengue (79' Assab), Nsoki (73' Domingos).
Wearing the club's new fourth jersey for the first time, a few hours before their elders, the Titis were determined to start strong. Even though Tottenham had most of the possession, Jean-François Vulliez's players were the most dangerous in the opening minutes. The Rouge et Bleu were finally rewarded for all their efforts. Following a fine move down the right wing, Rayan Abo El Nay found himself six yards out and beat Samual Archer (21' 1-0).
A few minutes later, following a run by Mounguengue, this time on the left, Noah Nsoki doubled the lead from close range, further underlining his team's excellent performance (26' 2-0). It was total domination that seemed to go on forever. Following another aggressive press, Pierre Mounguengue struck with his left foot from the edge of the box, curling the ball perfectly into the side netting (30' 3-0).
However, the young English side had not said their last word and managed to reduce the deficit thanks to Oliver Irow, who was well served in the box by Tynan Thompson (33' 3-1). But that wasn't enough to unsettle Les Rouge et Bleu, who were very focused today. Nsoki came close to scoring his second goal after picking up a long pass (37'). Superior in one-on-one situations and sharp in attack, Paris deservedly led at half-time.
After returning from the dressing rooms, however, the young players from the capital had to face a comeback from the visitors. From a corner, James Rowswell reduced the deficit again with a header (56' 3-2). Pushing forward again, the Parisians regained their composure as the minutes ticked by. In a lightning transition, Adam Ayari scored a splendid solo goal to restore the two-goal lead (68' 4-2). The Titis weren't done yet. Taking advantage of a poor clearance by Archer, Ayari scored his second goal of the game to give his team some more breathing room (71' 5-2).
The young Parisians could have added even more to their tally, creating several chances late in the game. After their victory against Bayern, they secured a second consecutive win in the Youth League. Ahead of the final matchday and a tricky trip to Bilbao, they have done themselves a huge favour in the league table, a foot in the door to qualification.
Jean-François Vulliez's players will face another English club next week, this time in the Premier League International Cup. In the second match day of this competition, the Titis will play Chelsea on Wednesday 3rd December 2025. The match kicks off at 8pm and will be shown live on PSG TV premium.
