Just three days after hosting Olympique Lyonnais (1–2), Paris Saint-Germain were back in Ligue 1 action at the Parc des Princes as they welcomed FC Nantes for the rescheduled Matchday 26 fixture. Sitting in the relegation zone, the Canaries arrived in the capital fighting for survival in the top flight. But Paris were also chasing their own goal (the title) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia showed clinical composure from the penalty spot after a handball by Ali Yousuf in the box (1–0, 13')!
The Rouge et Bleu took control of the game, and Ousmane Dembélé combined with Désiré Doué to unleash a powerful shot from a tight angle, which was pushed away by Anthony Lopes (17'). Nantes then tried to respond, but a goal from Louis Leroux was ruled out for offside (22'). The Yellow and Greens relied on long balls to attack the Paris penalty area, and Matthis Abline managed to get a shot away. However, it posed no real danger to Matvey Safonov, who safely gathered the attempt from the France U21 international (36').
Minutes later, Ousmane Dembélé picked up the ball in the middle of the pitch and shifted it to Achraf Hakimi on the right, who then found Désiré Doué. The French international let rip with a superb strike from the right side of the box that flew into the far top corner, leaving Anthony Lopes helpless (2–0, 37')! The club from the capital doubled their lead, but the Canaries responded quickly. Once again, it was Matthis Abline, who tried his luck with a direct free-kick, only to be denied by a vigilant Matvey Safonov (42').
After the break, the Rouge et Bleu once again took control. After initiating the move with a clever outside-of-the-foot pass to release Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia finished it himself, completing his brace after beating Frédéric Guilbert inside the Nantes penalty area (3–0, 50'! Luis Enrique’s men were pulling away and showed no intention of stopping there. Set up by Dro Fernandez, Achraf Hakimi nearly added another, his shot narrowly missing the post (55'), while Fabián Ruiz struck the woodwork fifteen minutes later with a deflected effort from twenty meters out (69').
Late in the game, Bradley Barcola also had a chance to extend the lead, but Anthony Lopes was equal to it (87'). Moments later, Matvey Safonov matched his Nantes counterpart by denying Frédéric Guilbert (90+1), allowing Paris Saint-Germain to secure the win with a clean sheet. With the three points, the Parisians strengthened their position at the top of the table and now hold a four-point lead over RC Lens.
