After losing to Magdeburg (42–20) in their opening game, PSG’s U18s could no longer reach the Final 4 of the EHF Youth Club Trophy, but still had the opportunity to finish their campaign in Hungary on a positive note. Up against Kielce - who had also lost their previous match in the competition - the young Parisians were aiming to secure a win.
Looking to make a statement, PSG were dominant early, quickly opening up a significant lead (8’: 1–10). Highly efficient in front of goal (26/29), Denis Peschaud’s side overwhelmed their Polish opponents in the first half, driven by strong performances from Damian Nikolic and Robin Chambeau, who each scored five times. Their dominance was reflected on the scoreboard at half-time, with PSG firmly in control (30’: 14–27).
In the second half, PSG maintained their level, with the tireless Nikolic taking his tally to 11 goals. 'Keeper Alexandre Rohais followed up his performance against Magdeburg with another standout display, making 17 saves. PSG pulled further clear approaching the final quarter-hour (45’: 21–38) and ran out comfortable winners. While the result could not send them through to the Final 4, it will doubtless prove valuable for their development (60’: 28–45).
