A product of the Team Tvis Holstebro youth system, 29-year-old Frederik Ladefoged has made a name for himself in recent years with his impact in the pivot position, showcasing defensive discipline and attacking efficiency. After playing for Skanderborg Aarhus, SønderjyskE and then Bergischer HC in the Bundesliga, he joined Dinamo Bucharest, with whom he is currently competing in the EHF Champions League, in 2024.
On the international stage, Frederik Ladefoged was a long-time Denmark youth international before transitioning to the senior national team, earning his first senior cap on 6 November 2024.
This signing is in line with Paris Saint-Germain Handball's sporting project and will take place at the end of the 2025/2026 season, alongside the departure of Gautier Loredon.
"We are very pleased to welcome Frederik for the 2026/2027 season. He is a solid and experienced pivot, the product of a Danish academy renowned for its high standards and quality of training. His profile, which combines power, rigour and team spirit, fits perfectly with our sporting project and the working philosophy of the staff, led by a duo of Danish coaches."
"Joining Paris Saint-Germain Handball is a huge honour. It is a world-class club that embodies success and passion for handball. I can't wait to explore Paris, meet my future teammates and contribute fully to the club's ambitions."
