Bradley Barcola on the scoresheet as France dispatch Sweden

A France side featuring Parisians Lucas Hernandez, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé secured their place in the next round with a 3-0 victory over Sweden in the round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Tuesday 30 June 2026.

Bradley Barcola, who started the match, scored Les Bleus’ second goal. Ousmane Dembélé, also in the starting line-up, was replaced by Désiré Doué for the final quarter of an hour, while Lucas Hernández and Warren Zaïre-Emery remained on the bench. In the next round, France will face Paraguay, who knocked Germany out of the tournament.
