One year after signing Renato Marin, Paris Saint-Germain is now welcoming another exciting young Italian goalkeeper into its ranks.
Born in Como in 2008, Longoni joined AC Milan at the age of nine and spent his entire youth career there. It wouldn't take the shot stopper very long to get people talking about him, either, as he was regularly promoted to the next age category upwards and found himself not only playing for I Rossoneri's U19s aged 16 but also quickly becoming their first-choice keeper.
With caps earned for Italy at every level between U15 and U19, this precocity has also been a feature of Longoni's international career so far. In fact, he played a significant part in Gli Azzurrini's 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship win by starting for his side twice in the group stage and then again in the quarter-finals before an injury brought about a premature end to his tournament.
With each passing season, Longoni confirmed his potential at AC Milan. Having reached the final both of the Campionato Nazionale Under-16 Serie A in 2024 and of the following year's Coppa Italia Primavera, the young goalkeeper established himself as the number-one man between the sticks for the club's U19s across two consecutive seasons before continuing his progression with Milan Futuro, the Italian giants' reserve side in Serie D, and then with their first team in the spring of 2026.
Standing at 192 cm in height, the right-footed gloveman has all the attributes of a modern goalkeeper. Solid on his line, agile in his interventions and reliable in one-on-ones, Longoni also stands out through his ease on the ball. By being able to contribute to his team's build-up play and to break through the lines with his passing, he also impresses thanks to his calmness and maturity – qualities that have been roundly praised throughout his development.
Longoni ended the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup with four clean sheets and just three goals conceded in six games. In the third-place play-off against Brazil, he even saved two penalties in a shootout to earn his side the bronze medal, which is Italy's best-ever finish in the competition.
