It was the last game of the year at Coubertin for our Rouge et Bleu and the objective was clear: a 14th win in as many matches to take back the lead, provisionally in the hands of Nantes following their 43-30 victory over Cesson-Rennes the day before. To do that, Paris needed to triumph over Limoges, who were beaten 42-38 by surprise package Saran in the Coupe de France earlier in the week, but were still fourth in the league and not to be underestimated. It was a real headline clash , and the Parisians were looking to treat their fans one last time before the festive season.
On the domestic stage, the capital club has been in scintillating form this season, and they confirmed that this week by qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France at the expense of Cesson-Rennes (34-28). More incisive, it was the Parisians who got off to the best possible start gainast Tremblay, quickly opening up a lead (6': 5-3). The side's form players over the last few weeks shone, with Elohim Prandi standing out thanks to four early goals.
However, Limoges wouldn't be shaken off, and the Coubertin crowd were well aware of the role they had to play in spurring thier side on to victory. Yahia Omar's superb shot kept his side in the lead at the quarter-hour mark (16': 10-8). The team coached by Alberto Entrerrios held out well in the first half, but the Parisians kept their two-goal advantage with some aggressive defending.
Following a fine save from Jannick Green, Stefan Madsen's men took a three-goal lead for the first time in the match (22': 13-10). The Parisians' attacking play continued, buoyed by more huge performances from Elo' (five goals) and Yahia (four goals, six assists). The Parisian goalkeepers were also on fire, Green making a string of saves while Mikkel Lovkvist saved a penalty. At half-time, les Rouge et Bleu were well ahead (30': 20-13).
After the break, the dynamic remained the same, with a fiery Parisian attack firing and an imperious Green making the 1,000th save of his Paris Saint-Germain career. Prandi's ninth goal further increased the lead (39': 27-15), and Limoges suddenly looked out of their depth. The Parisians, looking relaxed, were formidable. Kamil Syprzak, gradually regaining form following his return from injury, scored his third goal of the match, and the celebrations at Coubertin were complete (50': 34-22).
Les Rouge et Bleu were clearly in no mood to be trifled with, turning in their best performance of the season - against a top-of-the-table opponent what's more. Wallem Peleka joined in the celebrations with his first goal of the match to further dishearten the visitors (56': 38-24). The Parisians put on a real show, with Jannick once again inspired late in the piece.
Showing no mercy, the club from the capital defeated Limoges in style (60': 40-25). Stefan Madsen had plenty of positives to take from the match, with 11 different goalscorers and a rigorous defensive display. Jannick Green was excellent in goal, while Elohim Prandi, with 11 goals, was the man of the match. For the last match of 2025, the fans were treated to a benchmark victory.
After this magnificent success, there is just one match left to round off 2025, and what a match it is! The Parisians travel to Nantes on Thursday 18 December (20:30) for a high-flying clash between the division's top two teams.
