Elo' is in the running to be named Left-back of the Season following an historic EHF Champions League campaign. With 120 goals to his name, the French international not only beat his previous highest tally in the competition by 33 goals, but also became the highest-scoring French player in a single Champions League season, surpassing the previous record of 106 goals set by Dika Mem with Barcelona in 2024. This achievement sees him move into third place in the competition's all-time single-season goalscoring charts, behind Mathias Gidsel (161) and Francisco Costa (136).
Kamil Syprzak, the capital club’s top scorer in the Champions League over the last three seasons, has been hampered by a few injuries this time round. The top scorer in the 2024 EHF Champions League (112 goals) and the second-highest scorer the previous season (103 goals) was only able to feature in nine of the Parisians' 16 matches. That was still enough to find the net 70 times, at an average of nearly eight goals per match – a feat worthy of the season’s top scorers. Having converted 70 of his 87 attempts, the Polish international showed that he has lost none of his clinical finishing, and there is no doubt he will approach the next campaign with even greater determination.
In his very first season with Les Rouge et Bleus, Karl Konan established himself as a key part of Stefan Madsen’s team. At the heart of the defence, he performed just as reliably as he has for France in recent years. Although this was only the second Champions League campaign of his career, Karl proved decisive even against Europe’s top sides, with Paris facing Barça – recently crowned champions in the final in Cologne – during the group stage. This is therefore the first time in his career that the French international has been in the running to be named Defender of the Season at the EHF Excellence Awards.
