Just like for every European game, a Red-and-Blue wave will sweep over Munich. The Collectif Ultras Paris and 26 Supporters Clubs with their 290 members will make up the 12th Parisian man in Bavaria for the game. They will make the traditional Fan Walk from Fröttmaning station to the ground where they will - as one - be behind Luis Enrique's side.
It also marks a return to a special place in Paris Saint-Germain history. "They're great memories, we'll never forget that we won our first Champions League in the stadium," said Luis Enrique in Tuesday's pre-match press conference. "It's a top quality stadium and it's a challenge for us to qualify. There will be no PSG player or fan who will stop playing or singing. Now is the time to give a little extra to reach a second final. That's what we want all the time, to be worthy of our fans. They'll be almost 4000 on Wednesday. It's important for us, to have that support is extra motivation for us."
Warren Zaïre-Emery echoed his coach's thoughts: "The fans are always with us, home and away...Whether we win or lose, they encourage us. We're proud to represent all those who support us. They'll be there again to support us on Wednesday and will make a lot of noise. I'm very proud to come back to this stadium and play this incredible team. We'll do all we can to win the game and return to the final."
And the Red-and-Blue passion will not be restricted to Paris and Munich. Some 180 Supporters Clubs in 92 countries will host 'Watch Parties'. 200 members are expected in Madrid, 150 in London and there will be other gatherings around the world from Lisbon to Oslo, New York to Toronto. In Africa, 900 people are expected at an event on Reunion and in the Ivorian capital Abidjan.
