On Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain found the back of the net at home for the 40th consecutive match, scoring 104 goals over this period, and establishing the club’s longest run of matches having scored at least one goal at the Parc des Princes.
After scoring a brace against the Bretons, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia celebrated his 50th match with the club from the capital in all competitions in the best possible way. The Georgian international has demonstrated his strong form, having been involved in nine goals across his last ten matches (4 goals, 5 assists).
The Parc des Princes also seems to be a happy place for João Neves in recent weeks, as the Rouge et Bleu midfielder has provided an assist in each of his last two matches played in the stadium in the 16th arrondissement (against Tottenham and against Stade Rennais on Saturday).
It was a complete celebration for Paris on Saturday. On the one hand, because the club from the capital recorded its biggest league victory since August 2024 (a 6–0 win over Montpellier on Matchday 2 of the 2024–2025 Ligue 1 season), and on the other hand, because this fantastic victory was partly secured by the youngsters.
The first to beat Brice Samba was Senny Mayulu who, a few minutes before the break, finished off some lovely work from Bradley Barcola and João Neves to double the lead. At 19 years old, he became the third-youngest Paris Saint-Germain player to reach the milestone of 10 goals in all competitions, behind Eric Renaut and Kylian Mbappé.
Ibrahim Mbaye scored the second professional goal of his career and in some style! After unleashing a clean strike from outside the box, he was soon imitated by Gonçalo Ramos, who wrapped up the Rouge et Bleu and Blue party in stoppage time. These eighth and ninth goals scored from outside the penalty area in all competitions by the club from the capital this season set a new record among Europe’s top five leagues.
