Paris Saint-Germain are champions of Europe! After defeating Brest in February (3-0, 7-0), Liverpool in March (0-1, 1-0, 4-1 on penalties), Aston Villa in April (3-1, 2-3) and Arsenal in May (1-0, 2-1), Paris Saint-Germain overcame Inter Milan in an epic final thanks to goals from Achraf Hakimi (12’), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (73’), Senny Mayulu (87’), and Désiré Doué (20’, 60’). Captain Marquinhos - the most capped player in Paris Saint-Germain's history in European competition with 107 appearances - and his team-mates added another title to an already historic 2024-2025 season and etched their name forever in the Club's history by winning the title for the first time. Paris Saint-Germain have won 37 trophies since the arrival of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI).
By combining the excellence of their youth with the strength of their team spirit, Paris Saint-Germain, the 24th club to be crowned champions of the competition, distinguished themselves in this year's Champions League by becoming the second-youngest winners in history, with an average age of 24 years and 3 months. The capital club were also able to rely on the variety of their attacking forces, with seven players involved in at least five goals in the competition (Bradley Barcola, Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Fabián Ruiz and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia), a record this season.
Now winners of four trophies this season : The Trophée des Champions (1-0 against AS Monaco, on 5th January 2025 at Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar), Ligue 1 by a 19-point margin, and the Coupe de France (3-0, against Reims, on 24th May 2025 at the Stade de France), Luis Enrique's men have won the Champions League, the second European trophy in their history, after the European Cup Winners' Cup (1-0 against Rapid Vienna on 8th May 1996 at the Stade du Roi Baudouin in Brussels). Paris Saint-Germain will continue their quest for excellence from 14th June when they travel to the United States for the Club World Cup.
