Back in action for a week now, Kamil Syprzak has lost none of his form despite being away for two months. Decisive in midweek's Coupe de France Round of 16 win over Cesson-Rennes (8 from 8), our pivot once again put on a show at Coubertin on Sunday. Kamil's six strikes took him past the 1,600-goal mark with les Rouge et Bleu in all competitions. A total that once again demonstrates the Polish international's importance in capital club history.
Meanwhile, it was in defence that Jannick Green stood out against Limoges on Sunday. Having returned from injury last week at the same time as Kamil, our Danish goalkeeper was given more playing time for the last game of the year at Coubertin, and also delighted the Parisian fans who turned out in force. With nine saves to his name, Jannick also reached an historic milestone: 1,000 saves for the Parisian club in all competitions.
Alongside Kamil and Jannick, several other players stood out against Limoges. While Yahia Omar passed the 200-goal mark in the Liqui Moly StarLigue, Elohim Prandi turned in his best league performance of the season. With 11 goals to his name, our number 71 made a major contribution to the capital club's success. It was a performance that delighted the fans, who named him MVP for the match.
It was a total victory for the Rouge et Bleu, who undoubtedly turned in their best performance of the season. Stefan Madsen scored his biggest win as coach of Paris Saint-Germain Handball, beating the 37-24 win over Aix on Matchday 4. The success rounded off a perfect year in the league at Coubertin, with the Parisians recording their 15th win in as many games.
After this fine victory, the supporters present at Coubertin had a chance to celebrate the end of the year together on the Coubertin court at the traditional Paris Saint-Germain Handball Bodega. A moment of conviviality in the presence of the players for memorable moments and a fond farewell before meeting again next February for the second half of what promises to be an exciting season.
