The capital club delivered a flawless performance at the Colisée in Chartres. Solid in defence and effective in attack, Les Rouge et Bleu continued their perfect run in the Liqui Moly StarLigue, bagging a seventh win in as many games. This performance allowed them to pull away from Montpellier, who had been managing to stay neck and neck with Stefan Madsen's men. Held to a draw at home by Nantes on Saturday evening (31-31), Erick Mathé's men dropped their first points of the season, leaving Paris in the lead.
Jannick Green and Chartres have something of a one-sided relationship. While Chartres dread facing the Danish international every season, our goalkeeper eagerly awaits the fixture, and with good reason. With 56 saves in six matches before yesterday's game, Jannick Green had made more saves against CCHMHB than any other team in the Liqui Moly StarLigue since his arrival in 2022. So it was no surprise that Jannick Green put in his best performance of the season yesterday with sixteen saves. This total also allowed him to reach an historic milestone: 600 saves in the top flight. And what better way to reach this milestone than against his favourite victims?
Gautier Loredon's rise to prominence has been one of the highlights of the capital club's start to the season. With 15 goals in the first seven games, our youth academy graduate is already just six goals away from equalling his total for the entirety of last season. What's more, against Chartres, Gautier set a new personal best in a league match with Paris, finding the back of the net five times.
A big first for Thomas Omeyer
This Sunday, spectators at the Colisée de Chartres saw Thomas Omeyer - nephew of legendary Parisians 'keeper Thierry - make his professional debut. The 19-year-old left-back came on in the dying minutes of the game, becoming the 216th player to wear the Paris Saint-Germain shirt.
