After their spectacular 5-4 first leg win at the Parc des Princes in what is widely being touted as the greatest UEFA Champions League game ever, Paris Saint-Germain head to Germany with a slender advantage.
They will seek to defend and build on that at the Fussball Arena München where the face a Bayern side that defeated Real Madrid there in the previous round (4-3) having seen off Atalanta in the Last 16. Bayern have won all six home games they have played in the Champions League this season, setting the Parisians a challenge they will look to meet in what should be an exciting second leg.
6 – With 6 goals, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the competition's leading scorer in the knockout stages ahead of Bayern's Harry Kane and teammate Ousmane Dembélé (both 5).
10 – Paris Saint-Germain have not lost any of their last 10 Champions League knockout games (9 wins, 1 draw), to set a new French record in the competition.
16 – The capital club has won 16 of its last 20 Champions League away matches.
Bayern coach Vincent Kompany is not likely to change his plans ahead of the second leg. Manuel Neuer will start in goal and captain the side with the duo of Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah the centre-back pairing. The France international confirmed his status as the leader of the back line in the first leg while the second has Kompany's preference over Min-jae Kim.
At right-back, Josip Stanisic remains first-choice though Alphonso Davies could be replaced on the opposite flank by Konrad Laimer, who has performed consistently at a high level this season. Former Lorient man Raphaël Guerreiro remains sidelined through injury.
In the middle of the pitch, the Joshua Kimmich-Aleksandar Pavlovic tandem is expected to start despite competition from Leon Goretzka and Tom Bischof. The latter has just returned to the squad, and he should be joined by teenage prodigy Lennart Karl, who had also missed the first leg.
With Serge Gnabry out, Jamal Musiala will dictate play behind the front three of Michael Olise, Harry Kane and Luis Díaz with Nicolas Jackson a threat to come off the bench.
