It was a high-quality first-leg performance that Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea produced last week. Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé both gave the hosts the lead at the Parc des Princes, but saw their strikes cancelled out each time by Malo Gusto and Enzo Fernández.
Vitinha then put Paris ahead for the third time in the game and heralded a crazy final quarter-hour as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia came off the bench to score twice and give Luis Enrique's men a handy advantage to take to London.
5 – Paris Saint-Germain are unbeaten in their last 5 Champions League games against English clubs (4 wins), their longest run in the competition.
5 – Chelsea have not won any of their last five Champions League games vs. Paris, their longest such run against the same opponent in the competition.
13 – The capital club has seen 13 of its players find the net in the Champions League this season, more than any other team.
63 - Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has a goal involvement every 63 minutes in the Champions League this season (6 goals, 4 assists in 10 matches), the best ratio for a Parisian with at least 5 goal involvements in a single Champions League season.
Liam Rosenior isn't likely to shake up his starting XI too much ahead of this second encounter with the Parisians in the space of six days. In defence, French centre-back Wesley Fofana should join England international Trevoh Chalobah, who is set to be preferred ahead of Mamadou Sarr, Benoît Badiashile and Tosin Adarabioyo. In the full-back positions, Malo Gusto played well on the right in the first leg, with Spain international Marc Cucurella likely to begin ahead of Jorrel Hato.
There is a question mark over the goalkeeper, however. Spain international Robert Sanchez played against Newcastle this weekend and could replace Filip Jørgensen. Enzo Fernández remains under the threat of suspension if he is booked, but the Argentina international should start in midfield.
Moisés Caicedo is also set to begin in the centre of the park while Andrey Santos, who previously played for Strasbourg, could make an appearance as could Roméo Lavia. One of them should start with captain Reece James sidelined. In attack, wingers Estêvão and Jamie Gittens both missed their team's trip to Paris, but could return and perhaps come off the bench.
Chelsea have high hopes for their Brazilian prodigy, who could play on the right leaving Cole Palmer to move into the middle. Another option is for Pedro Neto to start on the left ahead of Alejandro Garnacho with João Pedro the focal point of the Blues' attack at centre-forward.
