Born on 19 April 1988, Luka Karabatic initially looked set for a career in tennis before joining Montpellier’s academy in 2007. He turned professional in 2009 and contributed to MHB’s golden era alongside his older brother, Nikola.
Over three seasons, he won 14 trophies with the Hérault club before moving on to Aix in 2012. Three years later, he signed for Paris Saint-Germain at the same time as Nikola, reuniting the exceptional duo that had been helping lead France to international glory over several years.
Eleven years later, as he begins the final season of his career, Luka is chasing a 16th French league title, which would make him the joint-record holder alongside Nikola. Captain of the capital club since 2019, the Paris pivot begins his final campaign proud of the journey so far and determined to finish on the highest possible note.
