Born on 22 March 1995 in Voerendaal, Luc Steins developed as a player in the Netherlands. He made his first professional appearances with Limburg Lions, winning two Dutch league titles with the club in 2015 and 2016.
He moved to France in 2016 to join Massy, playing a major role in the club’s promotion to the StarLigue. Named ProLigue Player of the Season, he then signed for Tremblay before moving to Toulouse two years later. In November 2020, he joined Paris Saint-Germain as a medical replacement and quickly established himself in the squad.
In 2021, he finished third in the EHF Champions League with the capital club. Luc then won six consecutive French league titles in Rouge-et-Bleu colours from 2021 to 2026 and was named the league’s Player of the Season three times (2021, 2022 and 2023). His honours also include two Coupes de France and one Trophée des Champions. A driving force behind the Netherlands’ rise, he was selected in the EHF EURO 2022 All-star Team.
