“I’m very pleased with our performance today. Of course, we lost and that’s not the result we wanted, but we were up against an excellent team. I’m pleased for us because we’ve taken a step in the right direction. I wasn’t satisfied with the match against Skjern, but today I saw a completely different team. The energy and pace on display were different, and we’ll be able to build on much of what we did today as we move forward. We’re ready for the Trophée des Champions. The squad have earned a rest this weekend, then we’ll get back into training next week leading up to Saturday’s match.”
“It was a long tour of Germany and Denmark, and I think we were able to measure ourselves against the best teams in the world. There were ups and downs across the various matches we played, but today we fought hard for 60 minutes. That gives us confidence and the desire to carry on like this as we prepare for the next match. I hope we’ll be able to bring that energy and that spirit to the match against Montpellier in the Trophée des Champions. I can’t wait for the season to start; we’ll need to fight hard throughout the whole match, just as we did today.”
