On Saturday evening against Le Mans, Paris Saint-Germain continued their good run in the league by securing a third consecutive Ligue 1 victory, following wins at Brest (0–1) and in Marseille (1–2). This is a run the capital club has not achieved in the top flight since the period between December 2025 and February 2026, when the Parisians recorded seven consecutive wins.
The performance was all the more impressive given that the Rouge et Bleu were up against a Le Mans side that has proved particularly difficult to break down this year. By winning at the Parc des Princes, Paris handed Le Mans only their fourth defeat in 25 matches across all competitions since the start of 2026.
Scorer of Paris’s second goal against the Sang et Or, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia continues to make an impact in Parisian colours. The Georgian international stands out in particular for his effectiveness when coming off the bench, having now been involved in seven goals as a substitute in 2026 across all competitions (six goals, one assist). Only Fábio Silva of Borussia Dortmund and Michael Olise of Bayern Munich have done better over this period amongst players in Europe’s top five leagues, with eight goal contributions each.
And we can certainly say that Paris’s number 7 feels right at home at the Parc des Princes! With his latest goal against Le Mans, Kvara has now scored 19 of his 29 goals for Paris Saint-Germain across all competitions at the Parc – that’s 66% of his total.
By converting his penalty against Le Mans, Lucas Beraldo also contributed to a unique statistic. The Brazilian international became the fifth different player to score from the penalty spot for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 since the start of last season, following Ousmane Dembélé, Gonçalo Ramos, Nuno Mendes and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. No other top-flight side has managed this over the same period.
And what about the other goalscorer, Maghnes Akliouche? Having joined from AS Monaco this summer, the French international made the most of this successful evening at the Parc des Princes to open his account for his new club. Set up by Warren Zaïre-Emery for Paris’s third goal of the game, the attacking midfielder scored his very first goal for the Rouge et Bleu in his ninth appearance for the capital club. A first that’s sure to be followed by more!
