Portugal with João Neves, Gonçalo Ramos and Vitinha were beaten 2-0 in Ireland as they passed up a first opportunity to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The Seleçcão must get at least a point from Sunday's game with Armenia to secure direct qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Against Ireland, Vitinha played the full game while Neves started and was replaced by Ramos on 78 minutes.
