One month after its last appearance, Ligue 1 returns to the Parc des Princes. Friday's visitors have been travelling well of late, TFC winning 3-4 at Metz in their last away game, ten days after eliminating Marseille in the Coupe de France quarter-finals at the Vélodrome (2-2, 3-4 on pens.). In their last league outing, Toulouse won 1-0 at home to Lorient to move into the top half of the table (ninth).
Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, are preparing to head into the final sprint. Neck-and-neck with Lens, the capital club spent the international break at the top of Ligue 1, thanks to a flamboyant 4-0 win away to Nice last time out. Despite the late returns of a number of internationals, Luis Enrique's men will go into the game determined to win and move four points clear of Lens in the standings.
2 - Paris Saint-Germain (46.6m from their goal) and Toulouse FC (45.0m) are the two teams with the highest average starting positions in the league this season.
4 - Toulouse have taken four away points against teams currently ranked in the top four in Ligue 1, second only to Monaco.
200 - Against TFC, Achraf Hakimi could play his 200th match in all competitions for Paris. Since his arrival in the capital, he is the third-highest scorer among defenders and wing-backs in Europe's top five leagues (28 goals, compared with 30 for Alejandro Grimaldo and 32 for Jeremie Frimpong).
In goal for Toulouse, Guillaume Restes is tipped to start. The France U21 international is one of the pillars of his team, which will be without Charlie Cresswell - another first-team regular - in central defence. In the absence of the England U21 international, who has a hamstring injury, captain Rasmus Nicolaisen is bound to be a key figure, as is Mark McKenzie. The American international, who has only recently returned from international duty, is expected to start at the back for Les Violets, while the very young Seny Koumbassa (18) could complete a three-man central defence.
At right-back, former French international Djibril Sidibé could be preferred to Warren Kamanzi, unless the former Lille and Monaco player is called upon to fill in at centre-half. On the opposite flank, the promising Dayann Methalie (20) seems to have the edge. In midfield, Toulouse coach Carles Martínez is likely to stick with the Cristian Cásseres Jr/Pape Demba Diop partnership. While the former has been a mainstay at TFC in recent seasons, the latter has gradually made his mark since arriving in the Haute-Garonne from Strasbourg this winter.
On loan from the Alsatian club, the Senegalese U21 international is likely to get the nod ahead of Alexis Vossah, one of the great talents to emerge from Les Violets' youth academy in recent years. The youngster could make an appearance in midfield during the game, as could Slovakian international Mario Sauer. In attack, the Spanish coach will have to deal with the suspension of Santiago Hidalgo. A key figure on the right wing, the Argentine could be replaced by Norwegian international Aron Dønnum (five goals and five assists in all competitions this season).
On the left flank, however, the indispensable Yann Gboho (ten goals, two assists) will be present. A product of the Rennes youth system, the Toulouse striker is continuing his ascent and seems to have turned a corner this season. The technical leader in Les Violets' attack, the Franco-Ivorian has been directly involved in almost 30% of his side's league goals so far this season. He could be joined by Canadian international Jacen Russell-Rowe, who arrived in the city only two months ago and is competing with Emersonn (five goals, two assists) for a starting berth at centre-forward.
