After a very strong start to 2026, Stade Brestois 29 have gone through a more difficult spell in recent weeks. Les Ty-Zefs are now on a run of six league matches without a win and sit 12th in Ligue 1. After drawing with FC Nantes (1–1) and RC Lens (3–3), the Breton side is coming off a heavy 4–0 defeat away to Paris FC. So, for their second trip to the capital in seven days, the Finistère club will be eager to bounce back.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain has been on cloud nine since Wednesday, when the club from the capital secured its place in the UEFA Champions League final by overcoming Bayern Munich (1–1). Although Les Rouge et Bleu are coming off a setback against FC Lorient (2–2) in the league, Luis Enrique’s men could, with a win over SB29, claim another French league title and put an end to their battle with RC Lens.
13 – Paris Saint-Germain have scored 13 goals without conceding in their last three matches against Stade Brestois 29 across all competitions. That’s an average of 4.3 goals/match.
33 – The club from the capital is unbeaten in 33 matches against Brest (25 wins, 8 draws), that’s the joint longest run in the club’s history (33 against Angers).
100 – Against Stade Brestois 29, Luis Enrique will celebrate his 100th Ligue 1 match in charge of Paris Saint-Germain. Among coaches who have managed at least 99 matches in the French top flight, he is the one who, at this stage, boasts the highest number of wins (70), the fewest defeats (9), and the best average points per match (2.32).
In goal for the Breton side, Éric Roy is once again expected to go with Grégoire Coudert, who is now preferred to Polish international Radoslaw Majecki. In central defence, Brendan Chardonnet will, of course, play the role of leader at the heart of the Brest back line. The captain of Les Ty-Zefs is a key figure for his team and could be partnered either by Soumaïla Coulibaly or Ivorian international Junior Diaz. A pure product of the club’s academy, young Raphaël Le Guen (19) has also established himself in the Brest squad. It remains to be seen who will be selected to line up alongside the Breton No. 5, especially since the possibility of a three-man central defence is a real option.
At right-back, Stade Brestois 29 will have to cope without Kenny Lala, an undisputed starter who is suspended for the match against the Parisians. As a result, Luck Zogbé is expected to start on the right flank, while Daouda Guindo could do the same on the left. Having arrived last summer from Red Bull Salzburg, the Malian international should benefit from the absence of Bradley Locko, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury. In midfield, Joris Chotard has firmly established himself. In his first season in Brittany, the former Montpellier HSC player quickly became a regular starter for the Finistère side, just like Lucas Tousart.
Having arrived from Union Berlin this winter, the former Olympique Lyonnais man is also expected to start at the Parc des Princes. The two defensive midfielders should unsurprisingly be joined by Hugo Magnetti, who remains as valuable as ever in Brest’s midfield. Unless Kamory Doumbia shakes up the Brest coach’s plans? That seems unlikely, as the Malian international (5 goals and 3 assists in Ligue 1 this season) has only just returned from injury and still appears short of match fitness. As for the attack, the Stade Brestois 29 staff certainly has plenty of options.
While Ludovic Ajorque (7 goals, 7 assists) is naturally expected to lead the line at centre-forward, the attacking setup of Les Ty-Zefs is still yet to be fully defined. The team’s technical leader, Romain Del Castillo (8 goals, 3 assists), is very comfortable on the right wing, but he could also form a strike partnership with his fellow Réunion-born teammate. The same goes for the lively Junior Dina Ebimbe (5 goals) and Mama Baldé (2 goals, 2 assists), both capable of playing in several positions. Finally, Pathé Mboup and Rémy Labeau Lascary (5 goals, 1 assist) could come on during the match and provide even more variety to Brest’s attack.
