After some mixed results at the start of the season, the Red-and-Blues have hit cruising altitude in the Arkema Première Ligue. They have won their last four league games, including last weekend's 4-0 derby defeat of Fleury, to come into their European game in impressive form.
After two defeats from their opening two games in continental competition, Paulo Cesar's side could not have hit their stride at a better team as they still have four games left to get into the league phase top 12 and at least qualify for the play-offs. Manchester United, for their part, have never managed to defeat Paris on the European stage.

Since its creation in 2018, Manchester United's women's team have become a force on the domestic scene, but remain inexperienced at Champions League level. They have only featured in the competition once, losing in the second play-off round to Paris Saint-Germain in 2023-24 (1-1, 1-3). It is the only competitive meeting between the two clubs.
But Marc Skinner's team have started the European campaign better than their opponents with wins over Valarenga (1-0) and Atlético de Madrid (1-0). Third in the Women's Super League, they came into the game on the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa, giving Paris Saint-Germain room for optimism against Ella Toone & Co.
After the win over Fleury at the PSG Campus, Paulo César was optimistic his team could follow up with three points in England.
"This win gives us confidence, and I hope that we'll be able to produce the same quality of play in Manchester. We'll have to live up to the match, and claim the three points."
