The Paris Saint-Germain coach and goalscorer Lucas Beraldo spoke to PSG TV after Paris’s 3–0 victory over Angers SCO on Saturday 25 April at the Stade Raymond-Kopa, on Matchday 31 of Ligue 1.
“It feels good. We’ve extended our lead again. We’re six points ahead and there are four matches left. It was important, I think the team started the game very well, really connected. We did the job properly and that’s very positive for us.
When you get a result like this, it’s the best way to prepare for a Champions League semi-final. It’s important for each player’s confidence, but also for the team and the supporters. We are ready. Tomorrow, we’ll have our first training session ahead of this semi-final.”
“It was very important to win today to go six points clear and to build confidence ahead of Tuesday’s match against Bayern. It was very important today. My assist and my goal? I’m happy, but it’s not just about me, the whole team helps me every day to do this. Today everything went well: I scored a goal, I provided an assist and I’m very happy about it.”
