After an emphatic 4–0 victory in Dijon, Paulo César’s players followed up with another away match, this time in Normandy against Le Havre, aiming to close the gap on the top three. The Parisian coach started up with a back four, with Mbock and Samoura in central defence, and Carmona and Isabela on the flanks. Captain Karchaoui operated in midfield alongside Ebayilin and Echegini, supporting the three attackers: Kanjinga, Elimbi Gilbert, and Morissaint.
A starting eleven that clearly reflected the Red and Blue’s ambitions for the evening. In a decidedly attacking setup, the Parisians left themselves open to Norman counter-attacks but held firm with discipline and focus. The club from the capital then gradually grew into the match and eventually broke the deadlock just before the break. Isabela surged down the right flank and delivered a perfectly weighted cross for Merveille Kanjinga, who powered a header into the back of the net (0–1, 45’).
The Parisians controlled proceedings, enjoying nearly 70% possession against a Le Havre side that was on the back foot, trying as best it could to contain the Rouge et Bleues. The decisive second goal came a quarter of an hour from the end, when Carmona delivered a pinpoint cross for Leuchter, who had come on a little earlier, to give her side a more comfortable lead (0–2, 77’). The dominance became even more pronounced moments later as Kanjinga completed her brace, breaking forward on the counter-attack and finishing with a powerful shot from the right side of the box (0–3, 80’).
Romée Leuchter then turned provider, floating a corner onto the head of Paulina Dudek, who scored the fourth goal — the third header of the night (0–4, 85’). It was therefore another victory for the Parisians, their second consecutive away win by the same 4–0 scoreline. A perfect confidence boost ahead of the visit of Montpellier this coming Saturday for the Coupe de France Round of 16.
