In impressive form since the start of the year, Les Parisiennes were determined to maintain their momentum as they hosted Lens at Campus PSG on Friday evening.
The Brazilian coach once again opted for his effective 4-3-3 system, with Dudek (captain) and Samoura in central defence, flanked by Elimbi Gilbert and Carmona, in front of Mary Earps in goal. Ebayilin, Groenen and Echegini formed the midfield trio behind a front line of Kanjinga, Ajibade and Leuchter leading the attack.
Paulo César’s players capitalised on their current form and got off to the perfect start. The unstoppable Romée Leuchter broke Lens’ resistance twice in less than two minutes, just before the quarter-hour mark.
She struck first from a Kanjinga cross, guiding a composed side-footed finish across goal to open the scoring (1–0, 12'). In the right place at the right time, she also showcased her vision and technique seconds later. After a Mary Earps clearance was poorly dealt with by the opposition defence, Leuchter reacted quickest and coolly lifted a perfectly executed lob over the Lens goalkeeper to double the lead (2–0, 13').
Just 1 minute and 35 seconds separated the two goals.
Wave after wave of attacks crashed down on the Lens goal, as the club from the capital looked to put the game beyond doubt quickly. But Anderson denied Kanjinga a third, sticking out a toe to parry the Congolese forward’s angled effort (29'). The same Anderson then produced another remarkable stop, this time with her heel, to thwart Echegini, who had gone on a dazzling solo run before getting her shot away (32').
It was shortly after the restart that the Rouge et Bleue made their opponents buckle for a third time. Leuchter needed just one minute in the second half to complete her hat-trick, winning her one-on-one and calmly finishing with the inside of her foot (3–0, 47').
With the three points secured, Paulo César then rotated his squad slightly, mindful of managing his squad wisely. It was a fine and fully deserved victory, as Les Parisiennes extended their impressive run and kept their excellent start to 2026 alive.
Attention now turns to the international break. Once it concludes, a busy schedule awaits. First comes the visit of OM to Campus PSG on Wednesday 11 March for Matchday 17 of the league, before travelling to Abidjan to contest the Coupe LFFP final against OL Lyonnes on Saturday 14 March.
