On Wednesday 4th March, the Campus PSG in Poissy was transformed into a truly emotional arena. Organised by PSG for Communities, a charity event promoting sharing and inclusion enabled 19 children to enjoy an exceptional day at the Paris Saint-Germain training ground.
Invited to watch the professional team train from the sidelines, the young participants were able to go behind the scenes and observe their idols in their everyday environment. Awe-struck looks, enthusiastic cheers and moments of wonder punctuated this timeless morning.
Among these special guests, ten children were accompanied by the Yvelines Child Welfare Services, while nine others came from organisations that support sick children: Necker-Enfants malades Hospital, the Nourette association, EEAP Montaury – French Red Cross, the Trousseau association and the Aïda association.
The highlight of the day was the meeting with Warren Zaïre-Emery. The Parisian midfielder, who became an ambassador of the Foundation last December, took the time to chat with the children, share a few words, smiles and, of course, photos. It was a simple but precious gesture that left a lasting impression and brought a sparkle to the eyes of the young guests.
Beyond football, this day fully embodies the mission of PSG for Communities: to use the power of sport and the club's commitment to create moments of joy, sharing and hope for children who particularly need it.
At the Campus PSG, for one day, football reminded us that it can also be a powerful vehicle for emotions and solidarity.
