In a hard-fought match, the French Women’s team, featuring Elisa de Almeida, Sakina Karchaoui, Griedge Mbock and Thiniba Samoura, was beaten by Germany in Düsseldorf in the first leg of the UEFA Nations League semi-finals.

Elisa de Almeida started the encounter and played the majority of the match before being replaced by Thiniba Samoura in the 87th minute. Sakina Karchaoui and Griedge Mbock did not feature in the match.
