We would have loved for 2025 to last forever, so powerful were the emotions and successes we experienced. But the great cycle of life continues, and the arrival of 2026 is inevitable. We can always look back and cherish with love everything we have all lived through… the names, the sounds, the joys, the goals… All of it will be forever etched in our memories.
But now it’s time to look forward, to embrace what awaits us, to pursue what we want to achieve, never forgetting that after so many years, we have already achieved it all.
Behind this seemingly obscure statement lies the idea of looking ahead to the very short-term. And as a New Year’s gift, a Parisian derby will kick off 2026.
The meeting at Parc des Princes is set for Sunday, January 4 — the first derby in the French capital since 1978! Yesterday’s past is, in a way, happening now. Just a few days later, it’s off to Kuwait to compete in the Trophée des Champions, where our Parisians will face their most recent runner-up, Olympique de Marseille, at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium on Thursday 8 January at 19:00.
One derby is great, but two are even better. Just a few days after the Trophée des Champions, PFC return to Parc des Princes for a little cup action and the Round of 32 in the Coupe de France on Monday 12 January.
Next up, Les Parisiens host LOSC on 16 January in a Ligue 1 clash, a top-of-the-table showdown that promises to be fiery, as always. To round out January, there are two Champions League matches: first, an away trip to Lisbon to face Sporting CP, followed by a home match against Newcastle at the Parc des Princes to close the group stage, with a top-eight finish in sight for direct qualification to the Round of 16!
February could kick off with a Coupe de France Round of 16 match on the 3rd or 4th, followed by the return leg of the Classique in the league, with Olympique de Marseille visiting Parc des Princes on Sunday 8 February.
Here’s to 2026!
