It was at Stadium 974 in Doha that Paris landed the first big blow of the year. AS Monaco and Les Rouge et Bleu delivered an intense and tight contest that remained locked scoreless for a long time. It wasn't until the final moments that Ousmane Dembélé made the difference for his team with the only goal of the game. It was a hard-fought 1-0 victory that symbolised the determination of a Paris team ready to reign supreme.
The club secured the 13th French Ligue 1 title in its history on 5 April at the Parc des Princes, following a solid 1-0 victory over SCO Angers. Désiré Doué's goal rewarded a season of consistency and superiority from Les Rouge et Bleu. A few weeks later, on 17 May, the Parisians officially lifted the trophy in front of their home crowd after another victory over AJ Auxerre, this time 3-1, concluding the championship in a festive atmosphere with all the fans at the Parc.
At the Stade de France, Paris were not interested in a close contest. Against Stade de Reims, Les Rouge et Bleu imposed their rhythm from the outset and the result never looked in doubt in a stunning first half display. A brace from Bradley Barcola and a goal from Achraf Hakimi gave Paris a clear 3-0 victory and added a 16th Coupe de France to their trophy cabinet!
On 31 May, at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Paris Saint-Germain wrote the most beautiful page in its European history. Against Inter Milan, the Parisians delivered an exceptional collective performance and registered a resounding 5-0 victory. An already famous win gave the side from the French capital its first Champions League title, after a perfectly controlled final against an Inter side overwhelmed by its intensity and passion.
In Udine, against the reigning Europa League winners Tottenham, Paris once again showed their unyielding mental resolve. Trailing by two goals, Les Rouge et Bleu came back in the final minutes thanks to Lee Kang-In (85') and Gonçalo Ramos (90'+3). After an already spectacular draw, the Parisians won on penalties (4-3) and became the first French club in history to win the European Super Cup!
The final chapter of an exceptional year: the Intercontinental Cup final, played at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan against Brazilian club Flamengo. After a tough and evenly fought game, that finished 1-1 at the end of regulation time, Paris once again made the difference in the penalty shootout. Matvey Safonov was the hero, making four memorable saves to secure the historic victory for his team 2-1 on penalties, making Paris Saint-Germain the first French club to win this trophy!
