Born on 1 February 2000 in Trondheim, Norway, Simen Ulstad Lyse made his professional debut with Charlottenlund in 2018. Two years later, he continued his development by signing for Kolstad, one of Norway’s fastest-rising clubs.
He quickly became a cornerstone of the team and played an active role in the league-and-cup doubles achieved in 2023 and 2024. Beyond his standing in the Norwegian league, Simen also made his mark in the EHF Champions League and with the national team, representing Norway at every major tournament since 2023.
The left-back took another step forward in the winter of 2025 when he joined Paris Saint-Germain Handball midway through the season. He contributed to the capital club’s remarkable league campaign, which ended with Paris unbeaten in the Daikin StarLigue.
