Needing points in a very tight Group 2, Mateo Maraš's Croatia secured a deserved victory over Switzerland (28-24) and remains in contention for a place in the semi-finals. The World Cup runners-up now have four points, level with three other teams, and will need to win against Slovenia and Hungary to keep their hopes of another strong performance on the international stage alive.
