Marquinhos's Brazil knocked out of World Cup by Norway

A Brazil side captained by Paris Saint-Germain's Marquinhos lost 2–1 to Norway at East Rutherford's MetLife Stadium yesterday in the last 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
This narrow defeat sees the Seleção bow out of the competition at the hands of the Norwegians, who will now face England in the quarter-finals on Saturday 11th July at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
