Fabián Ruiz's Spain through to last 16 with resounding win over Austria

A Spain side featuring Paris Saint-Germain's Fabián Ruiz beat Austria 3–0 in the last 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup yesterday at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Having been named on the substitutes' bench at kick-off, Ruiz eventually made an appearance in additional time at the end of the second half.
