The Parc des Princes loves big European nights and once again played its part as Paris Saint-Germain won 2-0 against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg.
The tone was set from the moment the teams came onto the pitch, and an incredible visual display in the stands welcomed them as the supporters made their voice heard.
From kick-off, the Parc kept on pushing the players and Désiré Doué's 11th-minute opener added to the incredible atmosphere which buzzed excitingly with every burst forward by the Rouge-et-Bleu.
The fans never let their efforts drop. And the team were the same. When Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia's quality enabled him to score a brilliant second on 65 minutes, the Parc - just when you didn't think it was possible - moved up another gear.
After the game, Luis Enrique described the unity between the team and the fans to PSG TV: "The atmosphere today was incredible. I also think that we matched the level of the fans, and that's very difficult. It's a moment to enjoy, to recover, to rest and to think about the next game in Liverpool."
And that sums up the atmosphere of a special night when the team and the fans were as one.
