Born on 2nd January 1997 in Valencia, Spain, Carlos Soler joined his hometown club's academy in 2005. He quickly made his mark with Valencia CF's youth teams before joining the senior squad in the 2015–2016 season.
He made his La Liga debut with the Blanquinegros against Real Sociedad on 10th December 2016. With his academy club, the midfielder played 226 matches (36 goals and 31 assists) and won the Spanish Cup in 2019 thanks to a 2-1 victory over FC Barcelona.
After joining Paris Saint-Germain during the 2022 summer transfer window, the attacking midfielder won two French league titles (2023 and 2024), one Coupe de France (2024) and one Trophée des Champions (2023). In two seasons with Paris, he played in 63 matches, scoring 8 goals and providing 8 assists
On loan last season to West Ham United in the Premier League, Carlos Soler played 31 matches in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
An international player for Spain since the U19 category, he won the European Under-21 Championship with the U21s in 2019 after reaching the final in the 2017 tournament. Carlos Soler also played in seven matches at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where he won a silver medal. The Spanish midfielder was called up to the senior team in the wake of the Olympics and scored on his debut on 2nd September 2021 against Sweden. To date, he has made 14 appearances and scored four goals for La Roja.
