Almost two weeks after lifting the French league trophy to seal the club’s 14th Ligue 1 title, and following around ten days of hard work, the vast majority of the players gathered at the PSG Campus on Friday before heading to Roissy and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport shortly before 09:00. Just over an hour later, and after meeting up with the rest of the delegation at Roissy, the Parisian squad boarded their plane for a take-off at around 10:00 and a flight of just over two hours to Budapest.
At around 12:30, Paris Saint-Germain arrived at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport in the Hungarian capital, a city also known as... the Paris of the East. Luis Enrique and his players then made their way to their hotel, which will serve as the Rouge et Bleu base camp through to Sunday. Many supporters had gathered there to welcome the players, who enjoyed lunch and a bit of rest. They will head to the Puskas Arena in the middle of the afternoon.
Coach Luis Enrique, captain Marquinhos and star forward Ousmane Dembélé will appear before the French, English, local and international media at the traditional pre-final press conference, held at the Hungarian national team’s training ground. Immediately afterwards, the squad will take to the pitch at the Budapest stadium for a final training session, knuckling down to focus on this final stage of the UEFA Champions League: the clash against the Gunners. You can follow the action live on PSG TV from 15:45 before catching up on the highlights on PSG.FR, the capital club’s official app and web TV.
