Biography

A former Paris Saint-Germain player (2002–2007), Paulo César knows the Club's history and values inside out. After beginning his coaching career in Brazil and then in France, he joined the women's section's technical staff in 2020, becoming assistant coach of the U19 team. In 2022, he was promoted to head coach of the U19 women’s team.

Under his leadership, the young Parisian players have excelled this season, winning the French U19 Championship – a title that had eluded the Club since 2019. Paulo César has played a key role in the development of several young talents who will now continue their journey under his leadership in the senior squad.

In May 2025, Paulo César took interim charge of the first team. At the helm of the senior squad, he guided Paris to the final of the Arkema Première Ligue Play-Offs after a 3–0 victory at the Parc des Princes against Paris FC. This win secured the Club’s qualification for the next edition of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. He also led the team to 3rd place in the World Sevens Football friendly tournament held at the end of the season in Estoril.

He was appointed head coach of the Women’s football Team in July 2025.
