Since September 1, 2017, Paris Saint-Germain Judo has been the Club’s fifth sports division, alongside men’s football, women’s football, men’s handball (since 2012), and esports (since 2016).
The ambitious project, initiated by President Djamel Bouras, former Olympic champion and Club judoka, aims to train the champions of tomorrow—especially for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games—while making judo accessible to the widest possible audience.
Paris Saint-Germain Judo fully embodies the spirit of the Club: sporting excellence and the universal values of judo, combining top-level performance with social impact.
The project launched in 2017 continues its rise in strength. Thanks to the exceptional work accomplished in just six years, we have achieved remarkable results, both nationally and internationally. Paris Saint-Germain Judo is now among the most prestigious clubs in the world. We are deeply proud to represent the colors of the Red and Blue family and to support athletes who embody both today’s excellence and the future of French judo.
Paris Saint-Germain Judo is committed to creating a positive social impact by passing on the universal values of judo. Through this discipline, the club promotes the discovery of the moral code, raises awareness about living together, fights against delinquency and violence, and emphasizes the importance of effort and a healthy lifestyle.
This transmission of values is accompanied by numerous concrete actions, in line with the agreement that binds the Club to the municipality of Le Plessis-Robinson. Residents thus have the opportunity to discover the world of judo through open training sessions, special events, and camps with the athletes and coaches of the capital’s club. In addition, Paris Saint-Germain Judo supports the practice of judo by providing sporting equipment to licensed members.
After the performances of our athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and their Champions League victory in December 2024, Paris Saint-Germain Judo is entering a new era of its development, with a clear ambition: to win medals at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Paris Saint-Germain Judo is fully committed to supporting its athletes on their journey to the world elite while also training a new generation of champions.
The section currently includes 21 high-level athletes, 10 of whom are women, competing across cadet, junior, senior and para-judo categories.
These talents are guided by Baptiste Leroy, a renowned coach who brings all his expertise to lead these athletes towards excellence.
Since the start of the 2024 season, Paris Saint-Germain Judo has had its own dojo, located in Le Plessis-Robinson, in the Hauts-de-Seine. A modern and functional space that hosts the training sessions of the Red and Blue judokas, providing an ideal environment to prepare them for major competitions.
