The PSG Academy British-Columbia Women's U16s

The Elite Women's team from the PSG Academy in British-Columbia made history in its first appearance at the prestigious MIC Football Tournament in Spain. Having travelled from Canada to represent the club's colours, the team made it to the final of one of the most highly recognised youth tournaments in the world, bringing together the best academies and the biggest clubs from across the planet.

From their very first match, the Canadian players made a strong impression by defeating Olympique Lyonnais. Driven by their talent, intensity and team spirit, they delivered high-level performances throughout the competition, ultimately securing a magnificent second place, just behind OL in the final.

Every minute of play was contested with determination. Every victory, seized with passion. Against elite opponents, the young Parisian players managed to impose their style of play, true to the PSG identity, with discipline and character.

"Reaching the final of a tournament as prestigious as the MIC is an exceptional achievement. Our players showed incredible talent, great strength of character and remarkable unity throughout the competition. Every match was a real battle and they responded with determination. This final proves that we are on the right track. I am extremely proud of this squad and everything it represents," emphasised Rem Dinga, Director and Head Coach of PSG Academy British Columbia.

The women’s section of the Academy is growing in British Columbia and such performances will undoubtedly inspire even more young girls to join the PSG Academy, in Canada and beyond, to follow in their footsteps.
