The dawn of a new season
It is as European champions that Paris Saint-Germain go into the new season, having only finished the last one on 13 July with the FIFA Club World Cup final. After an historic quadruple (Trophée des Champions, Ligue 1, Coupe de France and UEFA Champions League) it is one that will live long in the memory.
The players return to the PSG Campus to officially start their pre-season training on Wednesday, 6 August, and August has a number of big games, notably the European Super Cup against Tottenham, winners of the UEFA Europa League, in Udine, Italy, on 13 August (kick-off 9pm CEST).
The chance to claim a new trophy in the club's history comes before the opening of the Ligue 1 campaign with a trip to Nantes on Sunday 17 August (8:45pm CEST) before the first home game - against Angers - on 22 August and a trip to Toulouse eight days later.
In the meantime, the UEFA Champions League league phase draw will have been made on 28 August, giving Luis Enrique's men their first eight opponents in their title defence. Their first game will come on 16/17 September.
Looking forward, the first Classique of the season will be in Marseille on 21 September with the Parisians wrapping up 2025 in Metz on 13/14 December.
But before welcoming 2026, the Parisians will no doubt give us many more unforgettable moments.
